On November 1, the Burlington Cougars proudly took part in the Hope on Every Step Walk at Spencer Smith Park — a powerful community event in support of Halton Women’s Place, the only women’s shelter in the Halton region.
This annual walk is more than just a fundraiser. It’s a public statement of support for survivors of gender-based violence and a call to action to end violence against women. Funds raised go directly toward providing emergency shelter, support services, and education programs that help women and children live safely, free from fear.
As a team deeply connected to our community, we were honoured to walk alongside survivors, advocates, and allies in solidarity and support. It was a meaningful reminder that when we show up together, we help create change that lasts.
